PARKS WJR Race on 1/17/2009 will be a NIGHT RACE and is changed from SL to GS for Class 1-4
Due to an unexpected scheduling conflict Sunburst will not be able to hold the WJR Race on 1/7 during the day as previously scheduled. After exploring all other alternative options the WJR Board along with the Parks Race Team has decided to hold the race on the same day, 1/17, with an adjusted start time of 5:00 PM (preliminary). Exact times will be determined in the next day or so but should not be later than this. Because of the later start time we have also decided to change the Class 1-4 Race to GS which will take less time. This also changes the 2nd WJR Race at Sunburst on 2/28/09 to SL for the Class 1-4 (previously this race was scheduled to be GS).
Please contact your member families & Coaches ASAP to alert them of this change. Both WJR & the Parks Ski Team apologize for this change but we are adjusting the best way we can to still hold a great event. Most of our kids are used to skiing at night already and we will do everything we can to run the event efficiently (and safe) so you can get home at a reasonable time.
